Once in a forest there was flock of birds living in trees. One bird among them sang exceptionally well. Rest of the birds enjoyed her singing. The animals in the forest also enjoyed her singing. However, her singing led to troubles for other birds and animals as several hunters came to the forest to hunt the birds and animals. Some died and some were captured while escaping from the hunters. Hence, the animals asked birds to relocate to avoid getting killed by hunters. Rest of the birds advised the singing bird not to sing all the time as it cost their lives. The singing bird did not pay heed to the advice of other birds and kept singing.
The flock relocated to other forests. The singing bird started singing in the new forest. The animals in the new forest enjoyed the singing. However, few birds did not appreciate and hatched a conspiracy to ruin the voice of the singing bird.
Everyday five to six male birds would meet singing bird and offer heavy food to eat. Gradually the singing bird became hefty and her voice became husky. As a result, the singing bird could not sing melodiously. Rest of the birds lived happily in the forest. But the singing bird remained unhappy forever. The moral of the story is that we should not be spoilsport.
